These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) set out the conditions of use of the iOS app “Morphy” (formerly named Sotto; the “App”) provided by ProtoductAI, Inc. (the “Company”). By downloading or using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

1. Services

The App provides the following features to help you write chat replies.

• Japanese (flick and romaji input, with kana-kanji conversion) and English (QWERTY) keyboards with a resident AI toolbar
• AI-suggested replies (polite, casual, soft decline) from a screenshot of a chat screen
• Tone conversion of draft text (polite, casual, softer, shorter, English translation)
• Writing-style presets for each person (boss, friend, partner, client, etc.)
• Learning your own voice through on-device analysis of LINE chat history

The free plan has a limit on the number of reply generations per day. The limit is lifted by subscribing to Morphy Pro.

2. Prohibited acts

When using the App, you must not do any of the following.

• Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
• Modifying or analysing the App by improper means (reverse engineering, use of analysis tools, etc.)
• Impersonating a third party, or infringing the rights or interests of a third party
• Using the App’s generation features to create illegal or harmful messages, such as harassment, threats or fraud against others
• Unauthorised access or interfering with the operation of the service
• Spoofing a device identifier or misusing multiple devices in order to evade the usage limit

3. Nature of AI-generated content and disclaimer

• Reply suggestions and tone-conversion results offered by the App are generated automatically by AI, and we do not guarantee their accuracy, appropriateness or completeness.
• Please send and use generated text at your own judgement and responsibility. Except in cases of the Company’s intent or gross negligence, the Company is not liable for damage caused to you or third parties by the use of generated content.
• The App does not guarantee the best answer for a particular relationship or situation; it is intended only as an aid to writing replies.
• The Company may change, suspend or end the content of the service without notice.

4. Morphy Pro (subscription)

• Morphy Pro is an auto-renewing subscription through Apple’s App Store (a monthly plan and a yearly plan are available).
• Payment is charged when the purchase is completed, and the subscription period renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• You can cancel at any time from iPhone “Settings” → Apple ID → “Subscriptions”. After cancelling, you can continue to use Morphy Pro features until the end of the period already paid for.
• Refunds follow Apple’s refund policy, and the Company does not process refunds directly.
• Prices and plan contents may be changed after prior notice.

5. Intellectual property

Copyrights, trademarks and other intellectual property rights relating to the App belong to the Company or to third parties with legitimate rights.

6. Suspension and changes of the service

The Company may temporarily suspend or end the App without prior notice to users in the case of system maintenance, force majeure or any other operational necessity.

7. Disclaimer

The Company makes no warranty of any kind regarding the App, express or implied (including usefulness, accuracy and fitness for a particular purpose). Except in cases of the Company’s intent or gross negligence, the Company is not liable for damage arising from the use of the App.

8. Changes to the Terms

The Company may change these Terms when it considers it necessary. The revised Terms take effect when they are posted in the App or on this page.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Japanese law. If a dispute arises regarding the App, the court having jurisdiction over the Company’s location shall be the exclusive agreed court of first instance.
